When Are Match Dates Determined?
In the major European leagues, match dates are only set a limited time in advance. This is due to several things, such as Champions or Europa League matches or the allocation of television rights. You need to realize that a match can be rescheduled in a few days when the time and match date have not yet been determined. If you only book individual tickets, we recommend considering this and booking your return flight generously. If you need advice on this, we are happy to help.
The time at which a match date is determined varies by league. We generally follow the following rules of thumb for the major competitions:
- Premier League: 1 to 2 months before the match
- Bundesliga: 1 to 2 months before the match
- Primera Division: 3 to 6 weeks before the match
- Serie A: 3 to 6 weeks before the match
Stay for an Undetermined Match
If you book a complete package with us for a match whose playing time and date have not yet been determined, our website automatically considers this. For example, if you are going to visit a match played over the weekend, our system will only recommend flights that leave at the latest on Saturday morning and return at the earliest on Monday. This way, you can still attend the match even if it is rescheduled.
