Surprisingly, 19 of the 59 draws between these two teams were 0-0, proving how competitive they are. Both teams won each in their first two games in the new Premier League era. Arsenal won the sixth edition of the Premier League when the Gunners became champions in the 1997/98 season.
The Gunners won the league title again in 2002, but the most crucial part of the club’s history came in 2004 when they became the first team to go the whole season without losing a game. In the process, they picked up the league title, the first time a gold edition of the title was ever presented to the winning team.
